DIY: Date night pot!

Fortunately for me I love dessert so I managed to get my hands on this garish and fab little pot šŸ˜‰

Happy Tuesday munchkins!

The moral of today is ‘just stick to being cute’ so I am! I have finally made the date jar (for when we are together) and of course it’s cute, bright and colourful! What else would I opt for I ask you!? I got the pot free with a rather expensive pudding in Waitrose (just as well they give the damn pot away as well) As soon as I saw it I knew I’d find a purpose for it (and thanks to pinterest, which I loved last year but hadn’t used since… I’ve rekindled my pinning love and been inspired to make life as fun and adventure filled as possible! Starting with monthly date cards, date jar & scrapbooking! There’s more I’m yet to test out but watch this space šŸ˜‰ So this is what the little pot that will reside at Will’s looks like!

I started by deciding on a few categories such as: things to do at home which is green, weekend ideas which is red, pale blue is summer things, yellow is winter themed things and pale yellow is pick one! A red card requires us to spend more than one day together, a pale blue card has to happen solely in the summer months, I’m quite excited about the yellow cards because they are festive and fun! So I’d recommend choosing categories which are suitable for the both of you!

I added a label using string, card and sharpie and wrote some simple instructions which should be easily to follow! It also jazzed up the pot a little bit!

You can make the pot as colourful or as plain as you like! I personally am a pretty colourful individual who is clearly 6 at heart because I obviously opted for stickers to decorate the outside! The categories were then stuck around the outside of the pot (it’s very simple but effective I think!) It also adds to the whole vibrant vibe (appreciate the alliteration…)

I’ve seen a lot of date jars with lollypop sticks but not as many small pots so it’s a little bit more original than the standard masonry jar with sticks! It was really good fun to think up of cute and dreamy idea for us to do! It also makes time spent with your BF/GF even more special because it’s kind of like a mini adventure choosing a mystery activity! So yes why not make a cute date jar/pot/thingy/doobree and show your other half just how darn cute you can really be! Whose to say that all the things in the pot have to be cute šŸ˜‰

Until next time

Love C xo
