It’s been a while!

Hello my loves! It has been a while!

Quite a lot has happened since my last post! I’d like to think this girl has been doing some serious adulting since we last spoke! So let’s try and rewind… last time we spoke properly I had just left the North and was heading to Bristol! The only thing I knew for absolute certain was where I was going to live (obvs with Will). That was it. I had somewhere to live but not a lot else!

I was feeling pretty crappy because I’d hurt my foot (no idea how but it turns out it was quite badly hurt which resulted in a 5hr round trip from the doctors surgery to A&E several weeks later) We popped over to France to see Will’s family last weekend! We managed to nab a sofa which was excellent! Overall it’s been quite hectic. On a plus note I’ve pimped by crutches so to speak…

Oh and I might have failed to mention that I have got a job in central bristol as a legal recruiter and I couldn’t be any happier?

I mean I’ve been one lucky girl because I had been told by Will and my Mum to not be disheartened until I have at least applied for 30+ jobs. You can imagine their faces when I get an interview for the first job I applied for 30 mins after applying, get a call back and secure a job to start in just under a months time!

Yes, I’m blooming proud of myself!

In other news the house is coming together rather nicely! the floor is down, furniture has been bought and the sofa is arriving on Wednesday! It’s looking so much more homely downstairs and soon we will not be confined to spending our time in the bedroom! I’m really looking forward to watching OITNB on that dreamy sofa come Wednesday night!

I also popped back home to Guernsey for a week a little while back! I had an absolutely lovely time and we had the nicest afternoon tea (it was served on a mini picnic bench!!!)

see! wasn’t it adorable! I basically just spent the whole week eating…

On a much sadder note my beloved Fizzy finally went to Kitty-Cat heaven, it was awfully upsetting as she has been a part of my life for over 17 years! Everyone was devastated. In some ways I still cannot quite believe she has gone!

There’s definitely been some ups and well as downs as of late! However it’s on to a new chapter! I just had to include the amazing Banksy EU piece that we saw on our way to France whilst driving through Dover! I have no idea how he get away with that!!!

So yeah that’s a brief update! I’m rather hungry and need to now hobble down the stairs! Until next time ❤

Late night chats! Let’s start adulting…

I should probably say good evening! Oh my it’s been a busy old time! If any of you follow me on instagram you would know that I spent Easter in sunny Tenerife and I most definitely had a well of a time! Long gone are the days where I can spend hours writing holiday posts! However that will soon be changing! In fact quite a lot of things are changing in my life. I can’t quite believe that my law degree is basically over. I have one exam on Thursday and then I have a one way ticket to Bristol!

Big heckie.

Looking back at my time spent in Sheffield, I don’t think I’d change any of it! I don’t think I’d even change the cringe worthy/bad bits because, well they were all part of this journey! I have changed unbelievable amounts since first year and it is crazy to think of all the things I did during my student years! First year me had to kiss an awful lot of frogs till I found my match.

Yeah for some crazy reason I thought dying my hair bleach blond was a fabulous idea and let’s not comment on the proportions of the frog (the frogs I kissed ranged in size…). I also moved into a lot of different properties (some of which were better than others), I’ve lived with people and I’ve lived on my own. I feel like I’ve done it all! At times I’ve felt overwhelmed with the amount of work and felt completely out of my depth but despite this I have done it!!! It is crazy that I’m pretty much no longer a student and that I will not walk through those doors again! I feel like I’ll spend Friday wandering around Sheffield and just remembering all that has happened! Now comes the inevitable question?

What comes next?

Well I’m starting all over again in Bristol, taking a rather big heckie step and moving in with my boy (we didn’t think we’d ever get there). So I guess I need to decide what to do next. I feel currently a tad overwhelmed.

So erm yeah, this is where we currently are! And I feel like the stick drawing really does resemble how I feel about deciding what I should be doing for the rest of my life. I mean it’s ok to feel overwhelmed so I have been told so let’s roll with it! Who knows what the next chapter of the story will be and what it will contain! Perhaps this will be the beginning of depicting myself through stick drawings! Oh the possibilities are endless. All I know is that I blooming hate covenants and land law and I am very much forward to 4:10 on Thursday when I will officially be as free as a bird and then I need to figure out what this little lady (age 22.5) wants to do for the rest of her life. Not a hard decision to make really!… Will is off to Norway again for work and I need to push forward with this land malarky. I am so looking forward to buying a book and sitting on the train not having to think about anything related to law! I think once I’ve actually sorted myself out and do not feel in a constant state of limbo I’ll feel a lot more prepared to do some serious adulting.

This is it folks. Charzweb is entering a whole new chapter of proper real life adulting. Excitement probably outweighs the nerves (just about)

Let’s start adulting then shall we?!

NGL… I’d rather be eating dessert —->

Come on in to my new cosy Uni room: university house room tour

Hello my little spiderlings, I have been incredibly busy carrying tens of boxes, suitcases and bags from my old halls to my new house and from the car to my new place! It’s been quite exhausting at times! BUT I am pleased to report that I have fully moved in and set up my new house! The only slight problem is that there is no internet but I have a ridiculously large amount of data on my phone per month so it shouldn’t be too bad? Also Will has internet so it’s not too awful at the moment! So yes I’m all moved in to my ‘cosy’ room which is another word for small… But it’s cute and it’s mine so I mustn’t grumble! I promised to give you a tour and I’m a girl who keeps her promises! So let’s go!

I can now finally show you the artwork I bought for my bedroom! It was from not on the high street and it’s a city scape of Sheffield! I couldn’t give it away otherwise Will would have known! I’ve placed it on my desk as a backdrop with my fibre optic tree, incense from the Maldives and my perfume!
I had these photos from my old house! These photos were taken at all different times and places and then I simply made them black and white and stuck them to the side of my wardrobe using blutac!
This is how my room looks standing from my door! My bedding is from John Lewis!
Next up is my bunting, which I’ve had since the start of Uni! It clearly spells my name and makes that wall look slightly less bare! You can also see my Olaf chilling on my bed!
My parents got me this wicket unit from wilkinsons (how apt)! And the also got me this yellow lamp which reminds me of the Pixar lamp! I then decided to put my recycled paper mirror next to it with a coaster that I got from a friend saying ‘wine, wine, wine, all mine’
Most important part… My bed! I wrapped some fairy lights around the head board and put my wicker fairy light heart on top! Then I had an arrangement of cushions (all super cute) and my cuddly toys!
This is my windowsill! I have another small wicker white unit which houses my makeup and jewellery, I have my fibre optic snowmen, my glass jar from a friend, my tequila print from my parents and a cute wine bottle with a paper flower in cath kidston print! I have two ornament birds hanging from the window too!
Around the corner from my bed I have another wicker unit which has a box and my alarm clock on top and my guernsey calendar secured on the wall! Then on the other wall I have a few more hanging heart decorations!

Well that’s it folks! I hope you enjoyed taking a look around my new room! Until next time ❤

It’s absolute chaos!

So I’ve moved into my new student house, my room is small but I’ve tried to make the best out of it! It’s now completely done but it was complete chaos whilst moving in! I’m a girl and I come with quite a lot of stuff! I’ll probably be following up this post with a room tour! Anyway I’m all moved in and settled,
